Thanks for the great looking and flying Gee Bees Todd. Todd is a friend of mine and good flyer. As you can see he has an obsession with the wonderful old Gee Bee from the 30's The red and white one is a Gee Bee R2. It’s almost 1/3 scale with and 85" span and weighs around 25 pounds. It has Hitec servos and a Zenoah G-62 for power. It is not an ARF but is built from a kit. Its a North West Hobby Tech Kit(NWHT), now named Jack Devine Models. It is all hand cut covered in Monokote.

The black and yellow one is a Gee Bee Z. It is also a NWHT kit. It is also the same scale as the Gee Bee R2. It has an 85" span weighs in at 20 pounds and uses a Zenoah G-45 for power. It is also covered in Monokote and uses Hitec servos. Todd’s dad built both models and has a couple hundred of hours in each of them.

Again nice work Todd to you and your dad and thanks for sharing a bit of history with these great planes of yesteryear!
